YWCA 125 Years

"The YWCA, for my family, was a passport – full of pages of opportunity and education that no one else had yet provided." - George Fernandez, Latino Connection

The YWCA Greater Harrisburg was founded in 1894. For the last 125 years, the organization has been an incredible catalyst for change and progress in the community. They’re the thought leaders on women’s issues today, with two simple goals – eliminate racism, and empower women.

On its 125th Anniversary, the YWCA wanted to look back on its robust history, to reflect on all it’s accomplished, while looking forward to what’s next. The organization is as strong and impactful as ever, and this film exists to give a taste of that impact. It was an honor for LampHouse Films to partner with an organization with such an incredible legacy, to tell the definitive story of the YWCA Greater Harrisburg.
